Functional Illiteracy Social Issue Posters
This is a social issue poster campaign. For people with functional illiteracy its hard to advocate for yourself and I wanted to advocate for the people who need it.
It all started with a statement, that I often say, which is “give me a minute”. Because like me, some people need more time than you give them, for them to be able to speak their mind.
There are a lot of different ways to be illiterate, and the one that this project is focused on is functional illiteracy.
In school functionally illiterate children have a harder time understanding and comprehending. Sometimes a sentence that may be simple to you is super difficult for them to wrap their head around.
